  • 2N2222A: High Speed Switches

    The 2N2219A and 2N2222A are silicon Planar Epitaxial NPN transistors in Jedec TO-39 (for 2N2219A) and in Jedec TO-18 (for 2N2222A) metal case. They are designed for high speed switching application at collector current up to 500mA, and feature useful current gain over a wide range of collector current, low leakage currents and low saturation voltage.

    The ON Semiconductor 2N2222A small signal NPN silicon epitaxial switching transistor is on the US DLA Land and Maritime Qualified Products List (QPL) and available in versions meeting JAN, JANTX and JANTXV quality levels. All versions of the 2N2222A are supplied in a hermetically sealed TO-18 package. Target applications for the MIL-PRF-19500/255-qualified devices include switching and linear amplification in missile guidance, munitions, radio communications, commercial and military avionics and other military and aerospace systems where high reliability in harsh conditions and longevity of product supply are key design considerations.
